A New Approach

While I have done pretty well achieving my New Year’s resolutions so far, I have become less than satisfied with my resolution to publish at least one blog post each month.

At the time, publishing just one post a month seemed reasonable.  And, if I could work in one or two more posts during the month, so much the better.  But, if I couldn’t, no worries. I had still met my goal.

That kind of approach certainly does not reflect a real desire to improve.

A couple of days ago, I came across a blog post by Simon Ringsmuth entitled “Tips to Help You Start a Successful Photo Blog.”  In the post, Mr. Ringsmuth discussed how he started his own photo blog, “Weekly Fifty,” in which he posts a new photo every week.  He said this approach encourages him to take his camera with him looking for interesting photo opportunities almost everywhere he goes.

As I read this, I thought it made a lot of sense.  Not only would I post more often, but it would also help me continue to achieve my resolutions to keep my camera with me and shoot more. So, in keeping with this idea, I will begin publishing a post about one of my images every Tuesday beginning this coming Tuesday.

But, I will try to take it one step further by occasionally posting other topics of interest related to photography. It could be a review, photographic tips, or a discussion about something I have read or seen. It could even be just a random thought I had one day.

My goal, regardless of the topic, is to provide you, the reader, with information, both useful and entertaining, that will help propel you forward on your own photographic journey.

I hope you like this new approach and come back often to read my latest posts.  Click “Subscribe” in the menu above and enter your name and email address, and you will automatically receive an email notification when my newest post is published.
